During the week of Dec. 18–24, a total of 219 crimes were tracked by The Augusta Press from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Violent crimes included 67 cases of simple assault and 11 cases of aggravated assault, in addition to five cases of criminal trespassing and 66 cases of larceny were reported.
