During the week of August 6–12, a total of 248 crimes were tracked by The Augusta Press from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Violent crimes included 69 cases of simple assault and two cases of aggravated assault, in addition to eight cases of criminal trespassing and 97 cases of larceny were reported.
