A Grovetown father violated a temporary protection order by ordering DoorDash to his ex-girlfriend, who is the mother of his child, authorities said.
Antony Paul Serticchio, 36, was arrested Jan. 18 for two counts of aggravated stalking.
Columbia County deputies were called to a home along Haseley Court for reports of harassing communications. On scene, the ex-girlfriend told deputies that she and Serticchio share a son.
On Jan. 17, the ex-girlfriend received a text from Serticchio explaining that he had ordered her a gift through DoorDash and included tracking information. The text included a photo that said “I love you.” Shortly after, a DoorDash driver delivered a Dairy Queen dessert to the ex-girlfriend’s home. She refused the order.
Deputies made contact with Serticchio outside his home on Whiskey Road. Serticchio said he had ordered Dairy Queen to the home for his son to enjoy. He also mentioned having sent cat food to the house for the family pet, according to a sheriff’s report.
Deputies informed Serticchio he was in violation of the protection order and arrested him on scene.
The following day, Serticchio called his ex-girlfriend from the Columbia County Detention Center where he was being jailed. Deputies received reports of the call and listened to the audio which showed that the ex-girlfriend immediately hung up when she received the call.
The ex-girlfriend then received a call from Serticchio’s mother who begged her to drop the charges against her son. Deputies later listened to audio from a call between Serticchio and his mother. During the call, Serticchio asked his mother to call the ex-girlfriend and offer her $500 to drop the charges against him or else “he would be at the jail for a while,” the report said.
Serticchio remained in jail on Wednesday night under no bond.
