A Domino’s manager was arrested on Christmas Eve following an alleged physical altercation with a female employee at the pizza chain’s location on South Belair Road in Martinez.
According to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, 20-year-old Kaitlyn McWee reported that her manager, 31-year-old Javorius Lockett, assaulted her during an argument. McWee stated that the dispute began when she questioned Lockett about his absence the previous day. Lockett became enraged, a sheriff’s report says.
“Using both hands, he picked her up by her throat and pushed her up against a wall before letting go,” the report says.
The victim’s sister, who also works at the same Domino’s, was on a video call with Kaitlyn at the time of the incident and witnessed the altercation unfold on the video feed. She told officers that she saw Kaitlyn’s arms flailing before the call disconnected briefly.
Lockett, however, offered a different account, saying he told his employee that she was taking too long on a delivery.
“Javorius stated he told Kaitlyn to leave then she began calling him a b***h and cursing at him,” the report says. “Javorius stated before he knew it, he grabbed Kaitlyn and put her against a wall.”
Video footage from the store’s security cameras corroborated Kaitlyn’s account of the altercation, the report says. The footage shows the manager grabbing the younger worked by the neck and pushing her towards a wall.
Following the investigation, Lockett was arrested and charged with simple battery. He was taken into custody at the Columbia County Detention Center.
