Augusta radio personality Jordan Zeh of 95 Rock was arrested early Saturday in North Augusta on charges of obtaining controlled substances by fraud, The Jail Report has learned.

Booked under his birth name of Alan Wade Smith, the 37-year-old Belvedere man spent 16 hours in jail before a bonding company helped him get out on a $5,000 bond.

According to a North Augusta Department of Public Safety report, Smith (Zeh) picked up a prescription for Oxycodone-Acetaminophen from the Kroger Pharmacy (1284 Knox Avenue, NA) on Friday night that was fraudulent. The pharmacy told authorities that someone called in a prescription, but that the drug cannot be phoned in since it is a controlled substance.

The pharmacy filled the prescription, but officers stopped Smith as he was exiting the store and arrested him. They also confiscated the pills from him. An employee of the pharmacy called the doctor’s office and found out the call they had received was not from the real doctor’s office, the report states.

We’re told Smith suffered a leg injury 10 years ago that may provide some clue into the charges.
