An Aiken mother was arrested Thursday following a urine test from March that showed evidence of cocaine use while she was pregnant. Erica Richardson, 29, of Horseshoe Bend Road, was charged with unlawful neglect of child. A sheriff’s report states the woman was in her third trimester in March when the urine test was conducted. The test is a possible result of a May 2010 arrest for cocaine possession and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Richardson is a repeat offender with previous arrests for drug possession, criminal domestic violence, shoplifting, disorderly conduct, gross intoxication and possession of a stolen vehicle. A report does not describe the condition of the baby. Richardson remains in the Aiken County Jail.
